Start simple. Wipe your bike down after rides, especially if it’s been a wet or dirty day. Letting grime sit too long can damage paintwork and finish. Keep your chain tensioned and lubricated, tyres inflated to the right pressure, and your battery topped up if it’s not in regular use.

Give your bike a once-over weekly — look for loose bolts, check brake pads, inspect cables and hoses. Listen to your machine. Unusual noises or changes in feel often signal something needs attention. And always inspect your electrics before a long run.
